Project Description: An office building in Anaheim, CA exhibited flexural deficiencies in several spans of glulam girders. The owner turned to the Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Systems to provide the quickest and most cost effective solution.
Solution: The carbon-based Tyfo® SCH-41-2X System was applied to the underside of the beams to enhance their flexural capacity. A transverse layer of the Tyfo® BC System was also installed to anchor the material along the complete span of the subject girders.
Summary: Fibrwrap® Construction performed the repair ahead of schedule with minimal disruption to other building operations.
