Project Objective: Fibrwrap Construction Inc. performed concrete repair and protection to the pier soffit and piles (both plumb piles and batter piles) on the pier substructure. The scope also included providing spot concrete repair of corroded handrails concrete curb on the pier substructure, repair and replacement of the wave attenuation panels, and pier deck resurfacing. The project was successfully completed in 10 weeks to the satisfaction of the client.
The engineer-of-record, Triton Engineers specified Tyfo® SCH-41. The use of Tyfo® SW-1, underwater curing epoxy was also specified by the engineer of record. A year after the installation of the Tyfo® Fibrwrap® System, FCI performed a warranty inspection with the client and engineer of record. The performance of the non-structural and the structural improvements remain in prime condition.
