Project Description: A residential home in Corona Del Mar located on a hillside was experiencing some cracks and spalled concrete on certain columns.
Solution: Fibrwrap® Construction sawcut and patched the unsound concrete with a cement mortar and pressure injected existing cracks. The glass-based Tyfo® SEH-51A System was then used to wrap the columns to provide the required shear confinement.
Summary: Scaffolding was utilized in order to gain access the full height of the columns and provide full confinement. The columns were then finished with Tyfo® R&R, providing a Class 1 Flame and Smoke Rating and painted to match the entire structure.
