Project Description: The Hotel Georgia contains concrete floor slabs which had existing openings on ten floors that have now been filled with concrete. Also, there are new openings to be cut into the existing slab. All of these locations require additional flexural enhancement.
Solution: Fibrwrap Installations Limited installed the Fyfe Company, uni-directional Tyfo® SCH-41 fabric to supplement the required flexural enhancement as depicted by Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers.
Summary: Implementing new age technology, the owner was provided an alternative to conventional construction, which resulted in vast time savings, reduced remedial costs and reduced shut down time.
