Hwy 35 and 169 Project Description:
Two bridges were damaged due to impact by truck payloads in separate incidences.  In both cases, the prestressed concrete girders attained minimal structural damage.  However, the existing prestressing strands showed evidence of corrosion due to the exposure from the loss of concrete attained from impact.

Solution:
The girders required corrosion treatment coupled with patching using the Tyfo® P Epoxy Mortar to restore the girder section.  The patched areas were then wrapped with the glass-based Tyfo® SEH-51 Composite System.  The composite was utilized as a "structural band-aid" over the overhead patched areas.
