Project Description: The Music Hall underwent an extensive renovation. This included increasing the strength of the floor system at various areas, specifically areas supporting performing stages.
Solution: The thin floor slabs were reinforced for flexure utilizing the carbon-based Tyfo® SCH-41 Composite System. Adjacent beams were reinforced to upgrade shear capacity utilizing the glass-based Tyfo® SEH-51 Composite System.
Summary: All installations were coated with the Tyfo® Advanced Fire Protection System to achieve the required UL 2-hour fire-rating for the structure. Overall, the strengthened slabs and beams support over 6000sf of floor area.
