Project Description: The waste chute in the basement of the towers was being widened. This necessitated cutting the existing wall and potentially cutting the reinforcing steel.
Solution: A layer of fiber wrap was detailed to replace the steel that would be cut by widening the opening. A layer of the Tyfo® RR system was applied for smoke and flame protection, as well as, to increase the durability of the installation.
Summary: The work area was very confined and difficult to access. The composite solution allowed the application to be done in this restricted area.
