Pillsbury Tower Project Description:
High-density filing units were scheduled to be located on the 14th floor as part of a remodel project.  The existing beams below had insufficient flexural and shear capacities to handle the new loads associated with the filing units.

Solution:
The beams were reinforced with a combination of Tyfo® Strengthening Systems.  The carbon-based Tyfo® SCH-41 Composite System was applied to the bottom of the beams to provide additional flexural capacity.  The shear capacity was increased by wrapping the fiberglass-based Tyfo® SEH-51 Composite System around the beams.

Summary:
The combination of the Tyfo® Systems strengthened the beams in an easily mobilized and fast installation.
